Ltd. is a mining and manufacturing company located 60 kilometers Northeast of Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba. Employees reside in Lac du Bonnet, Pinawa and the surrounding area. These areas offer safe, family-orientated living, excellent schools, services, and affordable housing just over an hour’s drive of Winnipeg.With the operation of our Lithium process, we are looking for a Chemical Plant Operator IV to join our team to continue to achieve our mission of transforming rare metal resources today, into products that shape our tomorrow.What do we offer· Diverse work activities, with the ability to be part of friendly, successful, and productive team.· Permanent position and extended mine-life offering job security.· Excellent remuneration package with bonuses, pension plan and health benefits,WORKING PROCEDURE· Adheres to all safety procedures such as Hot Work; Lock, Tag & Try, Line breaking and Confined Space.· Perform necessary risk assessment prior to performing job or task.· Receive instructions from supervisor.· Closely communicates with outgoing and incoming operator regarding state of plant – reviews shift reports and other documentation related to the job/task.· Operates the assigned chemical plant circuit as per set out procedures, including start up, shut down, emergency operation, and all necessary adjustments for efficient operation.· Operates boiler and auxiliary equipment.· Carries out routine analytical testing for process control and product quality.· Cuts required samples on routine basis taking care to avoid contamination. Reports any irregularities that might affect sample accuracy.· Responds to all plant upsets and emergencies.· Assists other operators on shift if serious problems arise.· Carries out product loading and raw material offloading as required.· Carries out regular circuit inspections noting malfunctions, performs minor repairs where possible and ensure maintenance requirements are clearly reported.· Assist maintenance employees as required.· Maintains housekeeping standards.· Prepares equipment for maintenance work in accordance with prescribed procedures. (confined space entry; line breaking; lock tag and try; and hot work.)· Carries out routine inspections of safety equipment (for example; safety showers, boiler safeties, emergency lights, pressure relief valve, etc.)· Records data relevant to the job as per log sheets.QUALIFICATIONSGrade 12 graduate with diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 4th Class Power Engineering Certification.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: From $39.82 per hourBenefits:
