Job Description

VIKING PROJECTS LTD IS RAMPING UP FOR A GREAT SEASON! JOIN OUR TEAM OF PIPELINE PROFESSIONALS!WE ARE LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCED LEAD HANDS!Main Functions:

  • Complete pick ups and deliveries of equipment
  • load/unload transport construction material
  • Provide manual labour assistance on various tasks and assignments
  • Preform general construction equipment activities, as required
  • Assist heavy equipment operators, foreman, and supervisors
  • Assist in initial set up and clean up of sites
  • Joist/rigging per safety standards
  • Operate ancillary equipment- wheel loaders/skid steers
  • Participate in daily hazards assessments, tail gate meetings, and company safety meetings
  • Maintain company vehicle standards set out by Viking Projects Ltd
  • Complete daily vehicle checklists
  • Operate vehicle in safe and professional manner
  • Assist welders and pipefitters as required
  • direct operators of construction equipment with alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to location needs
  • other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • Great degree of manual dexterity
  • Able to interpret and execute complex instructions
  • Experience (training) in Heavy Equipment Operations an asset
  • Can clearly communicate in written and verbal
  • Ground Disturbance Level 2
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing Priorities
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong drive to complete assigned task and projects
  • High integrity
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel
