Job Description

Job DescriptionThe onsite carpenter will assist the Carpentry Foreman sawing, drilling and nailing, of wood and composite materials. Drilling aluminum, wood and composite materials, attaching dock accessories as required. Other duties may be assigned as needed. This is a labour intensive position requiring individuals to perform repetitive tasks and stand for long periods of time. This position requires working on dock and deck structures around lakefront home and cottage worksites so you must be comfortable to working in all weather conditions and be comfortable around the waterJob Duties

  • Cut, Drill and fasten wood and composite materials to steel and aluminum framework
  • Some in shop carpentry work may required from time to time
  • Keep job site area clean and organized
  • Follow Health and Safety procedures
Requirements
  • Use of materials as cost efficiently as possible
  • Good problem-solving techniques.
  • Good Working knowledge of Hand Tools, wood cutting tools and measuring devices
  • Must be comfortable to working in all weather conditions and be comfortable around the water
  • Able to work overtime (44 hours+)per week,
  • valid drivers license, G license and asset
