Holiday Inn Express & Suites Windsor East-LakeshoreHouse Person (Part time evenings and Full Time overnight 11 pm – 7am)Respond promptly to requests from guests and the Front Desk. Performs any combination of the following tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, and the hotel premises in general in a clean and tidy manner. Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and carpet shampoo machineCleans all public spaces including the lobby, fitness centre, pool, public washrooms, administrative offices, elevator corridors, and meeting roomsSweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floor in all areas of the hotelRegular property walks of the exterior and interior of the building to pick up any debris or garbage visible to the guestDusts and polishes metalworkCollects soiled linen for launderingAssists with the removal of trash collected by room attendantsInspects garbage receptacles around the hotel and changes them as needed by following recycling guidelines within the hotelWalk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift to collect debrisPickup clean linen and refill the par stock of linen in maid's closet on every floorDeliver towels, cribs, cots and other items to the guest rooms upon requestMaintains the pool and fitness centre and ensures the areas are always stocked with towels and other required suppliesPerform duties of room attendant or laundry attendant when necessaryRefill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor pantryClean all public areas following department standard operating procedures including lobby, breakfast area, public washrooms, administrative offices, hallways and meeting roomsRemove soiled linen and trash from the pool and fitness areas and other service area according to procedureReport missing / found articles, damage, or maintenance problems to the supervisorAlways respond in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleaguesTake up any tasks assigned by the supervisor as and when neededReport to work in required uniform according to hotel standardsMust be able to work independently and as a team playerClean common areas including lobby, breakfast area, public restrooms, elevators, corridors, and meeting spaces, etc as assignedPerform regular property walks to identify areas that need attentionIdentify and address minor maintenance and security issues throughout hotel, notifying Maintenance Manager or front desk staff when appropriateFill in for housekeeping shifts, as needed and clean rooms in accordance to specific brand and company minutes per room standardUse checklists to maintain cleanliness and condition of all common area spaces and meet designated standardsClean, maintain, and store cleaning equipmentComplete other duties as assigned
