Our team strives to be the best, and while we are very professional, ambitious and enthusiastic, we also believe in having fun!The Westin Bear Mountain is currently recruiting for the position of Front Office Manager and this position will report to the Director of Operations.About the job

  • Daily management of the Front Office operation and its relation to all operational departments as the main hub of communication.
  • Ensure staffing levels cover business demands.
  • Responsible for the comfort and safety of every guest that visits the hotel and the hiring of competent staff to care for the guests in the way that is expected.
  • Evaluate Guest satisfaction through a daily analysis of our Guest Satisfaction Survey scores and monitor trends with a focus on continuous improvement through corrective action.
  • Operate within departmental budgets through effective cost controls and well managed schedules.
  • Set departmental targets and objectives
  • Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Room Division Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork.
  • Ensure team members have an up-to-date knowledge of all resort products, services, events, activities and amenities.
  • Manage and participate in the Manager on Duty program, handling all guest inquiries, service recovery as well as emergency situations.
  • Implement initiatives to increase Guest Experience scores through increased levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Participation in weekly Hotel Operations meetings as well as all interdepartmental meetings that require Front Desk Attendance.
About your qualifications
  • Minimum three years previous experience in a position of direct responsibility in Rooms Management or Front Office Management within a Marriott branded hotel with a team reporting directly to you.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate the team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work well with others to promote a cohesive Team Environment.
  • Calm, cool composure in dealing with all guest issues and any emergencies.
  • Good financial awareness
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
