THE OPPORTUNITYSlegg Building Materials is currently seeking a full-time permanent Manufacturing Labourer to work Monday to Friday. The wage range for this role is $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, based on experience. Yearly wage increases based on performance (between 1% - 3%).THE LOCATION – 1210 Chidlow Connector Road, Langford BC, V9C 3W7Langford is the business heart of the Westshore, where you will find large retailers, light industrial companies, and many small businesses. • Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures
• Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment through the facility manually or using forklift (training can be provided)
• Quality check and audit completed orders and products
• Receive, sort, pack, stock, materials, and products
• Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers as needed
• Cut and prepare packages for customers, process returns
• Clean work areas and equipment; maintain the general appearance of work areas
• Perform weekly inventory counts and stock merchandise
• Minimize scrap and waste

THE REQUIREMENTS

• High school education or higher
• Ability to communicate in English
• Basic math skills
• Experience using a chainsaw is an asset
• Forklift experience is an asset
• Experience in warehouse or similar is required
• Physical requirements include:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
• Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight
