Jones Bar B Que Langford is slated to open in August 2022. We are looking to begin training three Pit Masters at our Cook Street location, which will move to our Langford location upon opening. This is not a temporary position as it will take several months for even the most highly training cook to be able to smoke meat independently. We do not use electric or gas powered smokers. We use 100% wood fire on a large stick burner smoker. This should be viewed as at least a minimum of a three year commitment with the hopes that a career is made of it. Training wage is hourly but the goal for long-term Pit Masters there is a great potential to earn very strong wages and gratuities. This position should be looked at like a trades person, welder, carpenter etc. A base cooking knowledge is appreciated, but 90% of the knowledge will come from on the job training.Starting wage listed, review and increase at 3 months, six months and one year. Medical benefits starting after three months.
