You will work with a licensed Strata Property Manager in all things related to the role while taking the licensing course with the goal of becoming a licensed Strata Property Manager within six months. The role day to day while taking the licensing course:This is an exciting and challenging career that starts with 6 months of work and training in our Operations Coordinator role. You will work with and support licensed property managers while taking the Strata Management Licensing Course. On successful completion of the Strata Management Licensing Exam, you will continue to work with licensed property managers on your own portfolio of buildings.
  • Spearhead the organization of the property managers, with everyone working towards the common goal of providing the best possible care for the portfolio of buildings.
  • Consistently demonstrate customer service excellence and help people.
  • Manage emergencies with a decisive and calm demeanor, able to troubleshoot the situation and find positive solutions.
  • Liaises with strata council members, building owners, and residents by telephone and email.
  • Ensure weekly meetings occur and direct the content of those meetings to proactively drive key processes.
  • Manage checklists, processes, databases, spreadsheets, and websites
  • Assist Property Manager with obtaining quotes, scheduling maintenance, and confirming jobs with tradespeople at the direction of the Property Manager.
  • Provide primary coverage for the front desk.
  • Develop skills in public speaking, leadership, relationship building, and budgeting.
In addition to in-office training on processes and procedures, the training for this position will involve going to buildings, learning how building systems work, and attending strata council meetings to understand the interactions with clients.A little about us:

Experience & Qualifications:
  • Enthusiasm for working with people and systems.
  • 1+ years of experience in the customer service field including hospitality, restaurant, and retail industries.
  • Excellent typing and knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Suite is required.
  • Clean criminal record check.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple things going on at once including multitasking, meeting deadlines, and maintaining clear communication with the team and clients.
  • Excellent typing and knowledge of computer systems including Outlook, Word, and Excel are required.
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license and a vehicle in good working order.
  • For this position, you will be required to be eligible to obtain a Strata Property Management license. Please review the eligibility requirement to be licensed in BC prior to applying for this role.
Position Details:
  • This is a Full-time, 6-12 months contract position with a promotion to permanent Strata Property Manager position upon completion of licensing course and internal training program.
  • $45-50,000 annually to start with an increase upon obtaining your license.
  • Working evenings/on-call overnight is required.
  • You must be living in Victoria or within driving distance from the offices. This position is based out of the Westshore.
  • Flexible and remote work opportunities once the training has been completed.
