Job Description

Based in the Langley, British Columbia region, this long-term contract / contract / temporary role is a great opportunity for a Collections Specialist.Major responsibilities

  • Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. written correspondence, phone contact, skip-tracing, and making arrangements for payment
  • Guarantee payments are processed
  • Act as liaison in maintaining quality service to the customer and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
  • Manage inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence
  • Maintain and update customer files to ensure data integrity
  • Comply with all rules and regulations established by the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act
  • Ensure bankruptcy filings are processed in the correct manner when received
  • Log all customer payments to the correct reports
  • Lead all billing and reporting activities according to deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred
  • Ability to analyze and make decisions on customer accounts
  • Cash Collections experience
  • Previous experience using accounting software
  • 2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience
