Job Description

Welcome to the CONCRETE JUNGLE!Horizon Contracting Group is looking for some Full Time (Monday-Friday) hard working, determined Concrete Finishers to join our rapidly growing team to perform all tasks related to placing and finishing concrete. Our jobsites are Commercial Construction sites across the lower mainland (From Langley-Vancouver) where youll be able to prove your skills and work your way up.Full Medical, Dental, Vision benefits available, RRSP Matching and Bonus opportunities!Job SpecificationsEducation

  • Post-secondary trades education an asset
Experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years finishing experience
  • Experience with a power trowel required
  • Patching and polishing experience an asset
  • Concrete finishing experience with a variety of applications – decorative, architectural etc. in a variety of styles – troweled, gloss, stamped, exposed aggregate etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to work with people in a variety of circumstances and from various backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess a thorough, organized and detail-oriented approach to work
  • High level of customer service
  • Plan, prioritize and coordinate, multi-task, and complete work assignments within prescribed deadlines
  • Able to apply effective time management and self-management skills.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative working environment
  • A drivers license and reliable vehicle is required for this position as many of our job sites are not accessible by transit.
Physical Requirements
  • Apply physical dexterity with frequent bending, stretching, reaching, grabbing, holding, and carrying
  • Hear and speak to communicate with others
  • Frequently lifting 30-60lbs, as required
  • Standing, sitting, and walking for much of the day, sometimes on uneven surfaces or on stairs
Work EnvironmentMost of the work is performed outside on jobsites with exposure to dirt, dust, dampness, construction debris, possible extreme temperatures, noises, construction material fumes and odors.Quick Apply
