Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Lead Hand to join our team. As the Construction Lead Hand, you will be responsible for leading and managing our construction projects, ensuring their successful completion on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Do you want to be part of a dynamic team that specializes in Real Estate Development in Industrial, Commercial, and Residential markets Do you want to be part of a Company that enhances the communities they serve Do you take pride in delivering high quality Are you interested in career progressionThis is a full-time, permanent position working outdoors and indoors, with an excellent benefits package, and room for growth.Responsibilities:

  • Perform civil projects and supervise a team of construction workers, ensuring they are following safety regulations and completing tasks efficiently
  • General property maintenance, managing and reporting on project progress, including any issues or delays that arise
  • Hands-on work with ongoing projects
  • Ensure that all work is completed to the highest quality standards, and that all safety regulations are followed
  • Train and mentor team members, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Manage and maintain heavy duty equipment, tools, and supplies
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Other duties, as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a related construction trade preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and project management principles
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50lbs) and perform physical labor in various weather conditions and environments
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, if needed
  • Familiarity with MS Teams, construction software and tools, such as AutoCAD and project management software, is an asset
  • Must be willing to travel as required to the various projects at the time, which may include some travel to the Okanagan Valley.
