Job Description

Equivalent ExperiencePosition: Forklift OperatorLocation: Langley (Port Kells)Wage: $20Shift: 8:00 am - 4:30 pmOur client carries a full range of high-quality concrete supplies, ranging from concrete formwork materials, chemicals, sealers, additives and pigments, to waterproofing, repair, protection products and construction accessories.Duties

  • Packs, unpacks, sorts and stores incoming shipments and orders, verifying against purchase orders/invoices
  • Prepares, packages and ships customer orders, ensuring that shipments are delivered to customers in a timely fashion by coordinating with courier as needed
  • Ensures the yard and warehouse are clean and organized
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Will be working indoors and outdoors (approx 50/50)
  • Cleaning and organizing the warehouse
- Lifting boxes that could weigh up to 50lbs - 15/20 times a day- Operating propane sit down counter balance forklift - 30% of the time but would varyMUST HAVES1) Willing to learn the forklift2) Experience working in warehouse/distribution3) Able to lift 50 lbsSOFT SKILLS1) Able to work in a team environment - they all work together to get the items out. When they are done at their table they will go help another operator2) Good work ethic - able to keep busy during their shift3) Trainable - able to pick up quickly4) Take feedback - as this is a team environment.
