Job Description

Head of Operations – Martini Film StudiosReporting to: CEOResponsible for: Management and Oversight of OperationsDirect reports: Administration, Facilities, Stage ManagementAbout Us: Martini Film Studios is a full service film and TV production facility in Langley, offering studios, support spaces, exterior film locations for film use. We work with some of the top studios and production companies in the World and we are expanding the business by building new film studios in the next few years. The Martini Entertainment Group is a sister company launched in 2021 to develop and produce a range of new TV projects for the Canadian and International markets.The Role: The Head of Operations is a new role in the studio team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Operations will be an integral person, ensuring that our clients needs are met in a timely manner and ensuring that our customer service remains at the highest possible level. The role is responsible for managing the overall operations of the business and managing the Administration, Facilities and Stage Management teams as well as liaising with our partners and contractors. The role also leads the sales and marketing function of the business, promoting the facilities and responding to sales enquiries and partner requests.Successful Candidate: The successful candidate will have experience in the film industry, with strong skills in: Team building, Communication, Collaboration and Management.Principal Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of Martini Film Studios & Martini Film Studios Properties.
  • Manage and prioritize all projects within Studio Departments under the direction of the CEO.
  • Act as the CEO’s representative with tenants to ensure their needs are met and all agreements and contracts are adhered to.
  • Supervise administrative staff and company procedures.
  • Oversee the marketing and sales functions for the studios, preparing bids and pitches for potential clients and oversee the website and social media channel content.
  • Working with the CEO on special projects.
  • Responsible for the overall coordination of production needs of our clients on all the properties.
  • Responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance of the studio properties
  • Manage initial HR requests and recruitment needs of the studio team.
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with Creative BC and relevant industry and community associations and First Nations.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with government officials, local, provincial and national.
Skills and Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a related role or in the film and TV industry.
  • Detailed knowledge of the global film and TV industry and the current trends.
  • Experience in project and operational management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detailed computer skills including the Office 365 suite of programmes.
  • A full drivers license.
