Job Description

Bringing together the very best of its four legacy companies— BWAY (Ropak Canada Inc.), MAUSER Group, NCG, and ICS—Mauser Packaging Solutions offers its customers true sustainability at scale.1.0 GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:As directed by the Maintenance Manager, responsible for all aspects of maintaining and preventative maintenance of all equipment related to all plant-wide processes and any other general maintenance requirements. Will be responsible for providing clear departmental direction in areas such as personnel, purchasing, vision and goal accomplishment, preventative practices, relationships with other areas, safety, and levels of quality.2.0 Key Responsibilities:

  • Must have good working knowledge in all aspects of maintaining industrial equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning production equipment which includes labeling machines, conveyors, pumps and hydraulic systems, etc.
  • Follow, without exception, all work instructions and safety policies, including the use of all PPE and safety equipment.
  • Accomplish all work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; decrease product write-offs; improve quality standards; and improve plant efficiency.
  • Be able to work in a team-concept environment and have good communication skills.
  • General facility maintenance.
3.0 Qualifications:
  • Must have a strong background in pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics and be well-versed in troubleshooting problems.
  • Certificate in either mechanical, electrical, millwrighting, or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong written & oral skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to manage time, projects, and problem-solving sessions.
  • Must have a safety attitude and mindset, and a thorough understanding of quality measurements.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills – Root Cause and Analysis.
  • Experience with store management and computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and a commitment to continuous improvement.
