Job Description

1.0 GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:As directed by the Maintenance Manager, responsible for all aspects of maintaining and preventative maintenance of all equipment related to all plant wide processes and any other general maintenance requirements. Will be responsible for providing clear departmental direction in areas such as personnel, purchasing, vision and goal accomplishment, preventative practices, relationships with other areas, safety and levels of quality.2.0 EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have basic mechanical aptitude and appropriate experience
  • Be able to work in a team concept environment and have good communication skills.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and be available on a 24-hour clock periodically.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills – Root Cause and Analysis.
3.0 SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES3.1 Safety:
  • Follows a safety culture within the department, encourages safety issues and/or enhancements to be brought forward
  • Ensures assigned safety tasks are completed by target date
  • Addresses asset safety concerns in sustained countermeasures in a timely manner
  • Responsible to bring forward initiatives to improve/enhance asset safety
3.2 Daily Responsibilities:
  • Abide by company rules, regulations and policies
  • Update all work completed into the site CMMS program (HIPPO)
  • Must continue to upgrade skills and knowledge in the area related to the maintenance and repair of the production equipment and machines.
  • Carries out daily preventative maintenance program and keeps an accurate log.
  • Maintenance and trouble shooting on production machines and equipment problems occur.
  • Performs building maintenance where required.
