Job Description

Included in some of the most exciting and award-winning construction projects across North America, Cascadia’s goal is to help revolutionize the energy efficiency of modern buildings and drive the adoption of high-performance building products.About the job:Based in our factory in Gloucester Estates, Langley, the Painter requires experience in hand spray painting. Experience operating automated paint equipment is an asset. Training on our systems and procedures will be provided.Note:

  • The role requires three months of training on the morning shift (Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m.—2:30 p.m.).
  • Following training, you will work the afternoon shift permanently (Monday - Thursday, 2:45 pm—1:15 am)
Duties and Responsibilities: Preference would be someone with Paint Line experience or hand spraying.
  • Check production documents for details and instructions
  • Determine which parts to be painted
  • Sanding and wiping lineals
  • Staging to be painted
  • Ensure the correct colour is used
  • Mix paint and catalyst
  • Set up and test paint gun positioning
  • Run lineals through the paint line
  • Offload onto drying racks
  • Maintain and clean the paint machine as required
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a manufacturing organization, with preference given to window production.
  • Experience working with painting tools and equipment.
  • Physically able to lift weights, stand, bend, and climb ladders.
  • Must have reliable transportation, as transit service is not available to Gloucester Estates area.
  • Safety footwear is required. Annual company paid for safety footwear after 3 months - all other tools and training provided.
Salary and Benefits:
  • Salary: $28-$32/hour (plus $1.00 for the afternoon shift).
  • Afternoon Shift, Monday to Thursday - 2:45 pm to 1:15 am.
  • 100% company paid extended benefits package after 3 months.
  • RRSP program after 2 years.
