The Opportunity:McElhanney has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our growing Municipal Division in the Vancouver region. As a Project Manager, you will have 6-8 years of professional experience, while being a strong team player with high productivity and excellent attention to detail. Aside from your technical skills, you’ll also have the opportunity to leverage your established contacts and local experience to further build out the municipal services group’s business.At McElhanney, a key focus of ours is supporting local municipalities. Every community is different, from the nature of its infrastructure to the level-of-service the residents expect, and so aligning project delivery accordingly is critical.We are looking for a dedicated intermediate engineer to focus on project management, detailed design, contract administration, construction field reviews, proposal writing, and business development in the Vancouver region with opportunities across western Canada. We are looking for strong municipal skills with emphasis on pump stations, PRVs, linear utilities, trenchless technologies, and drainage.What You’ll Be Doing:Manage municipal projects within the Vancouver region with opportunities across western Canada.Coordinate designers, drafters, survey, environmental services, engineering subconsultants, direct the design, write technical specifications and MMCD contracts, prepare cost estimates, and conduct construction field reviews.Prepare effective proposals, liaise with clients, and find opportunities to leverage our inter-disciplinary teams to provide value-added services.Generate invoices, manage project budgets and financial reporting, and maintain project schedules.Get involved in the communities you are working with and understand the underlying concerns of residents.Work at one of our three Vancouver region offices: Vancouver, Surrey, or Langley.Mentor junior engineering team membersWhat You’ll Bring:Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution with 2+ years of experience in managing municipal engineering projects and acting as the engineer of record.Registration in good standing as a Professional Engineer (P.
