Job Description

Work ArrangementsThis posting is for a full-time contract Resource Centre and Client Outcomes Specialist at the WorkBC Langley and Aldergrove Centers. And we’re looking for passionate, motivated people to join us in making one of Canada’s best colleges even better.The RoleRepresenting Douglas College at the Langley and Aldergrove WorkBC Centres, the Resource Centre and Client Outcomes Specialist will coordinate and organize all resource information. They will also perform regular follow up contacts with clients to determine their employment status and to ensure all sustainment outcome fees and outcomes are captured. They will ensure that they meet or exceed the Centre’s service utilization targets and key performance measures as outlined for the Centre.Responsibilities

  • Assist with greeting clients and visitors ensuring clients sign-in, answer queries and direct appropriately;
  • Assist returning drop-in clients with job search and career planning needs, complete documentation and maintain client records as required for Case Managed Clients;
  • Support Clients in accessing all relevant resources
  • Receive and review applications for services from the On line Employment Services Portal;
  • Conduct Client Needs Assessment (CNA)
  • Provide clients with career planning assistance providing referral(s) to workshops or other community agencies;
  • Enter into the ICM data base information pertaining to a client’s needs determination, action plan, follow-up and file closure;
  • Assist clients through one to one coaching with resume writing, job search techniques, career planning materials, assessment tools and other resources
  • Assist clients with using computers, troubleshooting simple problems when required;
  • Promote Client feedback through our online Client Survey;
  • Contacts all employed WorkBC clients at regular intervals to confirm employment status and to offer additional WorkBC Services if needed by client;
  • Updates the Integrated Case Management (ICM) database with client employment status, and ensures all sustainment outcome fees and outcomes are captured;
  • Supports the review and re-connection of clients to Centre, including contact attempts and file closures;
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and community outreach.
  • Miscellaneous as required.
To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need
  • Post-Secondary degree or equivalent level of experience and knowledge in the sector;
  • Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) Certification an asset;
  • Demonstrated ability to meet performance based targets
Experience:
  • Providing customer service and resolving issues in person & virtual service delivery environment;
  • Conducting & interpreting client needs assessments;
  • Working with individuals with complex barriers and a wide range of cultural backgrounds;
  • Using on-line reporting and communication portals/databases;
  • A Commitment to continuous learning and development
  • Ability to exhibit respect for clients, client diversity, and community partners;
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good computer skills: MS Office Suite, database entry and the use of online-demand meeting applications and desk-top sharing.
  • Knowledge of local labour market and trends;
  • Satisfactory completion of a criminal records check.
