Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:As the Rubber Hand Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting sheet rubber parts from all types of rubber. This includes the use of hand and power tools to make parts to print. The Rubber Hand Cutter position has a very direct growth path for career advancement. This is a physically demanding role. You will report to the Fabrication Supervisor at our flagship location in Langley, B.C.WHAT YOU WOULD DO:

  • Cut sheet rubber to specified work order.
  • Quickly and effectively fabricate parts and components.
  • Operate hand and power tools (drill press, jig saw, grinders, band saw, utility knife, tape measure) to make world-class products.
  • General understanding of blueprints.
  • Operate forklift and pickers to pull and stock materials.
  • Accurately record times and materials.
  • Complete all quality control and factory documents.
  • Perform machine maintenance.
  • Conform to all safety requirements and wear PPE as needed.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Collaborate with team members and other manufacturing department to achieve company goals.
  • Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum grade twelve diploma
  • Able to use basic power tools such as drill press, jigsaw, grinders, band saw and utility knife.
  • Forklift license is required.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Willingness to learn and work as a part of a team.
