Job Description

Shipper/Receiver$25-$28 / hourShifts Available: Day Shift Mon-Fri 7:30am – 4:00pmWeldco-Beales Manufacturing designs and manufactures specialized heavy equipment attachments for the construction, forestry, mining, scrap recycling, road maintenance and resource industries throughout Canada, the USA and internationally.   • Determines the least expensive and quickest method of shipment, arranges delivery, and prepares shipping documents
  • Prepares goods to be shipped
  • Directs delivery trucks to shipping doors or designated marshalling areas, and helps load and unload goods safely
  • Retrieves stored items and traces lost shipments as needed
  • Operates forklifts, hand trucks or other materials-handling equipment
  • Calls customers or company driver to co-ordinate pick-up and delivery
Receiving:
  • Inspects and counts items received, checks them against invoices or other documents, record shortages and fills out forms for damaged and returned damaged goods and routes them correctly
  • Unpacks and stores goods in the appropriate storage areas
  • Keeps accurate records of items received and where they are stored
  • Contacts vendors to resolve problems or contacts service depots to arrange for repair
Your qualifications:
  • A minimum of one year of related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Crane & Rigging experience or certification an asset
  • Current Forklift license

  • Time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent safety record
