Job Description

This role will play a crucial role in driving success and transformation in our organization through effective procurement and utilization strategies, supplier management, and process optimization across the procurement and facilities functions.   • Manage and coordinate the activities of the site’s material movement, scheduling, logistics and purchasing activities to optimize production uptimeamp; throughput ensuring finished goods meet delivery targets while controlling inventory costs and ensuring corporate procedural compliance.
  • Participate in the creating, defining and implementation of the supply chain strategy at the site level and engage the corporate functions to adapt the needs of the site within the divisional strategy.
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers to ensure scheduled deliveries are met, and better optimize forecasts and ordering processes ensuring on time scheduling, shipping and receiving of all ordered materials and finished goods.
  • Establish and track KPIs (Key Process Indicators) for the material movement process to facilitate corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Review and respond to all IPRs and NCRs to eliminate non-conformances to procedural requirements related to material movements.
  • Assure and Maintain the adequate Inventory levels according the strategies defined (ROP, FORECAST, MTO, MTS) in order to comply with the Business Financial Goals.
  • Schedule according the capacity model defined on the plant and assure the optimal usage of the available resources.
Knowledge and experience with:
  • ISO systems
  • Lean principles
  • Conversant with Kanbans, vendor managed inventories, JIT transactions
  • ERP / MRP system expertise
  • Cycle counting
  • Salesamp; operations planning
  • Inventoryamp; purchasing management
  • Contract negotiations
  • KPI creation, deployment and tracking
  • Productionamp; inventory control concepts
  • Manufacturing process knowledge
  • New production introduction
  • RFC ECO process knowledge
  • Experience in low volume high mix - make to order environment
  • People management
Minimum Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Logistics, or related field.
  • SCMP designation preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Demand Management and Sales Forecasting,
  • Supply chain management particularly in a multi-channel supply chain environment
  • Strong leadership and change management skills
  • Significant manufacturing experience relative to Logistics functions
  • Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic self-starter
  • Works independently under general supervision
  • APICS or CPIM certification preferred
  • Highly developed organizational, planning, and problem solving skills
