Job Description

Garaventa Lift is a global leader in the design and manufacture of wheelchair lifts, stair chairlifts, and elevators. We seek a candidate with a Diploma in Computer-Aided Drafting, Certificate as a Mechanical Design Technician, Bachelor of Engineering degree from a Mechanical Engineering program, or “real world” mechanical design experience to complement the Application Engineering department.Overview:This is a full-time position responsible for producing application-specific product drawings for Garaventa Lift products in accordance with Garaventa Lift design guidelines, customer requirements, and applicable regional and international safety codes and standards.Duties:

  • Review order packages for completeness and accuracy
  • Generate dealer product approval drawings from the order package information
  • Generate dealer product concept drawings from the concept package information
  • Generate revisions to product drawings
  • Generate production package
  • Produce custom product design drawings
  • Assist the sales team, distributors, architects, and contractors with product and code information
  • Occasionally assist Ramp; D in product development
  • Maintain drawings and documentation in accordance with the Garaventa Lift Application Engineering process
  • Participate in 5S and Lean initiatives
Qualificationsamp; Skills:
  • Energetic self–starter with strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Detail-oriented. Accuracy is not the only thing it is everything!
  • Able to handle the pressure of deadlines using effective time management.
  • Experienced using AutoCAD 2012 (minimum).
  • Experienced using Inventor 2012 (minimum).
  • Familiar using Lisp, VBNET, or other programming languages.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment or working solo on a project.
  • Thorough problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Comfortable communicating with Customers, Colleagues, Supervisors, and Managers.
