This employment opportunity is part of Nutrien’s Indigenous Internship Program and is intended to introduce a voluntary self-identified Indigenous student or recent graduate to a professional work experience at Nutrien.What you will do:

  • Coordinate with the HR Shared Service Center (HRSSC) to ensure effective employee service delivery
  • Collaborate with Talent Attraction, the HRSSC, and site leaders to provide administrative direction to ensure recruitment, selection, and onboarding activities occur effectively and efficiently
  • Support all stages of the recruitment cycle, including participating in interviews with site hiring managers
  • Utilize HR systems and applications including iCIMS, SAP, and myHR/Success Factors to obtain data and complete HR transactions and activities
  • Provide support to site HR in the areas of job requisitions and postings, HR reporting, crew scheduling, and CBA administration
  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees from a diverse organization that are seeking additional information relevant to HR and Labour Relations
  • Safeguard employee privacy where appropriate, including confidentiality and protection of sensitive information
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned
What you will bring:
  • Must be currently enrolled and have completed a minimum of 2 years’ education in a Human Resources Degree program OR a minimum of 1 year in a Human Resources Diploma Program; OR must be a recent graduate of a Human Resources Degree or Diploma program.
  • Previous related work experience is an asset
  • Exposure to HR software such as SAP and myHR/Success Factors is an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong results/goal orientation
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions, and exercise judgment on sensitive/confidential issues
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to troubleshoot and respond to client inquiries by telephone or email
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly MS Word and Excel
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team-player who can positively and productively execute on tactical human resource initiative
