Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Manufacturing Team as we are actively recruiting for a CNC Operator in Training responsible for the operation of a CNC machine in a production environment while training and developing the skillset of a CNC Machinist or General Machinist. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply for a position in the General Machinist Apprentice Program.   • Learn to setup, operate, and maintain CNC mills and CNC lathes
  • Complete tasks and assignments within the trade under the direction of a Journeyperson, or independently
  • Utilize the accepted principles of machine shop safety
  • Learn to select, use, and maintain trade related hand and bench tools, measuring instruments and devices
  • Learn to interpret and use trade related reference charts and tables
  • Apply the mentored principles of metal cutting to work pieces
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications
What you need to succeed
  • Secondary School diploma
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Manufacturing experience an asset
