What you will do We have an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering Team as we are actively recruiting for a Simulation Technician responsible for developing robotic simulations of our automated systems utilizing DELMIA Robotics on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.   • Setup simulation work cell models from design and engineering data
  • Analyze robot reach and placement for optimal process and reachability
  • Analyze interaction of robots and tooling to identify possible interferences
  • Analyze and verify robot and system cycle times based on cycle time chart and estimating processes
  • Analyze robot and system safety concerns (ANSI/RIA, CSA, ISO)
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve design and process issues
  • Program collision free robot paths (Offline Robotics Programming)
  • Produce simulation deliverable documents (Robot Data Sheets, Videos, Cycle time analysis, etc.)
  • Generate off-line program downloads and debug using various robot specific software
  • Assist Design with engineering change requests involving robotic applications
  • Assist controls technicians in resolving issues with offline programming and/or shop floor programming if necessary
What you need to succeed
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline
  • Experience programming industrial robotics or robotic simulation/offline programming considered an asset
  • Experience in one of the following robotic applications: MIG welding, spot welding, sealing, material handling
  • Familiar with industry robot safety standards (ANSI/RIA, CSA, ISO)
  • Experience with at least one of the following major robot brands: FANUC, ABB, KUKA, NACHI, MOTOMAN
  • Experience using various Robotic Simulation software an asset (DELMIA D5/V5/V6, RobCad, Process Simulate, Roboguide, RoboStudio)
  • Ability to work afternoon shift if required
