Job Description

Job DescriptionAs a Construction Project Manager, you will contribute to Laura’s success by overseeing and managing multiple construction projects simultaneously, including new store builds and renovations. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet company standards, collaborating closely with internal teams, contractors, architects, and vendors.How will you support the team

  • Oversee multiple construction projects at once, including new store builds and renovations, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards for both Laura and Melanie Lyne design concepts.
  • Creates and maintains detailed project schedules in collaboration with the Senior Project Manager and key stakeholders, adjusting as needed to keep projects on track.
  • Develop preliminary annual CAPEX budgets and manage project finances from start to finish. Monitor expenses closely and negotiate with general contractors to achieve cost-effective results.
  • Lead the bidding process: prepare bid packages, evaluate proposals, and award contracts to qualified GC and vendors. Ensure workmanship meets expectations, and company brand standards.
  • Issue and manage purchase orders for construction materials, fixtures, equipment, and services, ensuring alignment with project budgets and timelines.
  • Conduct regular site visits to track progress and resolve on-site challenges as they arise.
  • Maintain open and consistent communication with internal departments, landlords, vendors, and other stakeholders, providing timely updates on project timelines, risks, and key developments. Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks by implementing effective mitigation strategies to minimize impacts on schedules, budgets, and quality.
  • Oversee permitting and ensure full compliance with local building codes, including final inspections, securing occupancy permits, closeout documentation, preparing punch lists, and managing project handover.
