Job Title: Senior Service WriterCompany: Nexar Equipment Ltd.Location: Nisku, AlbertaPosition Type: Full-Time Job SummaryNexar Equipment Ltd., a leader in heavy equipment repair, maintenance, and rentals, seeks an experienced Senior Service Writer to join our team in Nisku, Alberta. This role ensures smooth operations, excellent customer service, and efficient workflow in our service department. The ideal candidate will have a background in heavy equipment or truck repairs, strong organizational skills, and experience with service management software (FullBay experience is a plus). This position also requires flexibility to assist with other administrative tasks as needed.Key Responsibilities- Customer Serviceamp; Communication: You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates, answering inquiries, and delivering exceptional service.- Work Order Management: Open, manage, and close work orders accurately. Ensure all relevant details, parts, and labour are documented for each job.- Schedulingamp; Coordination: Schedule repairs and maintenance work for technicians, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring timely job completion.- Estimatesamp; Invoicing: Prepare accurate estimates for repairs and maintenance. Manage invoicing to ensure accurate and timely billing.- Vendor Relations: Coordinate with vendors for parts orders and maintain an inventory to support repair activities.- Team Collaboration: Work closely with technicians, supervisors, and management to prioritize jobs and address any changes or issues.- Software Utilization: Utilize FullBay Software (or similar) for streamlined work order processing, inventory tracking, and customer communications.- Administrative Support: Assist with additional administrative duties as required, including data entry, filing, document organization, and other tasks that support the office #39;s efficiency.Requirements- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Service Writer, preferably in the heavy equipment or truck repair industry.- Strong understanding of heavy equipment and vehicle maintenance/repair processes.- Familiarity with FullBay or similar service management software is an asset.- Excellent communication and customer service skills.- Proficient in managing work orders, estimates, and billing processes.- High attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.- The position is located in Nisku, Alberta.
