If you would like to work as part of a progressive organization and enjoy a fast-paced environment, then this may be the opportunity for you.We are currently recruiting a permanent, full-time Administrator, Events and Bookings for our Events and Bookings Department.About this Opportunity:The Administrator, Events and Bookings reports directly to the Coordinator, Events & Bookings. This position will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries on use of City facilities, coordinating seasonal use of indoor and outdoor sport amenities, recommending and matching community members and organizations with appropriate facilities for activities or events.This position will foster relationships and collaborate with organizations, internal service areas and external partners on their use and event plans. They will provide support to organizations and individuals using city amenities or hosting events, working closely to facilitate a safe and positive experience.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide strategic planning and allocation of seasonal use for community groups and sport organizations utilizing City recreation facilitiesOptimize utilization of spaces through efficient schedulingCreate and manage contractual agreements of use, applicable fees and invoice managementWork collaboratively and liaise with internal departments & external partners, community groups and organizations on the use of City owned facilities to support service delivery and operationsUpdate and maintain recreation software for fees, maintenance, scheduling, functions, and amenities as requiredEnsure necessary plans, permits, licenses and event infrastructure are in place for safe, successful eventsMonitor usage, membership and trends of seasonal groups and organizations utilizing facilitiesQualificationsYou are an ideal candidate if you have the following:Certificate or diploma in recreation or business administration or related fieldFirst Aid/ CPR certification is requiredMinimum 3 years of experienceKnowledge of Intellileisure Recreation Software is an assetMunicipal experience an assetAbility to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting with a proven ability to meet deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders and proven commitment to customer serviceExcellent organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at onceMust be willing to provide a current Criminal Records Check at own expenseTo apply, please visit our website at www. leduc.ca/careersCompetition closes at 10:00 pm (MT) on December 15, 2022.
