To learn more about KBL please visit our website at www.kblenv.com.If you are driven, innovative, and inspired individual you might just be the perfect fit!We are currently seeking to add an Estimator to join our teamJob Type: Full TimeThe Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates for remediation, reclamation, and demolition projects, working with project managers and other stakeholders to gather information and understand project requirements.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and bid documents
  • Research and source material and labor costs
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
  • Develop and foster relationships with key clients and partners
  • Prepare and present cost estimates to project managers, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Stay informed of current market conditions and trends affecting project costs
  • Work with project managers to address cost overruns and other project issues
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Interacting with clients, stakeholders and regulators throughout project life cycle
  • Develop vendors, procure equipment and participate in strategic relationships development
  • Work with existing partners or develop capacity to provide abatement, demolition and environmental remediation and reclamation
  • Participate in pre bid meetings, planning of job scope, project contracts and change orders, project health & safety plans, regulatory & permits, set up of cost tracking, job kick off meetings, client liaison and client satisfaction, arrangement of equipment and supplies for projects, weekly project meetings, arrangement of equipment and supplies for projects, scope management and delivery of successful projects
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-5 years Experience within the remediation, reclamation, demolition and abatement industry
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is considered an asset
  • Adept at working with little supervision, problem solving and adapting to change;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral; ability to interact with various types of stakeholders, and first nations;
  • Strong computer and data entry knowledge and experience
  • Work well with teammates
  • Required to be able to travel out of province and meet COVID-19 restrictions
Physical Requirements:At times, it may be required to endure standing for long periods of time, lifting objects up to 50 lbs., performing repetitive motions, or completing physically demanding tasks during project field work.Working Environment:Work is primarily carried out indoors, but project work in the field will be required from time to time. Therefore, there can be exposure to extreme weather along with exposure to dust, noise, mud, water, smoke, and bacteria.Travel outside is sometimes required.What KBL offer’s the right candidate
