Job Description

Night Auditor/Guest Agent Midnight shiftJob OverviewWe are looking to hire an experienced night auditor to assist with checking guests in and out of our establishment. The position will be full time with some shifts on mornings or afternoons, midnight shift (11pm-7am). The ideal candidate would be willing to cover all shifts (7-3pm, 3pm-11pm). We are looking for someone who is reliable, punctual and has a passion for hospitality! The night auditor’s responsibilities include:

  • Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner and appropriately dressed in business attire.
  • Assists guests and owners in a branded, friendly, proactive, and efficient manner with appropriate follow-up, as necessary.
  • Knows all essential aspects of our hotel operations.
  • Collects payments from customers, ensures daily settlements are balanced.
  • Monitors lobby and check-in activity.
  • Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
  • Receiving calls, conducting room reservations, and verifying existing bookings
  • Facilitates correspondence with guests.
  • Works collaboratively with any associates and resources.
  • Respond to emails, reviews appropriately, handle guest complaints and escalate if necessary.
  • Works with housekeeping, maintenance and sales departments closely to ensure guest safety, requests and coordinates any kind of activity that may affect these departments.
  • Staff will be trained for all shifts and expected to help out when needed.
  • Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Some cleaning is expected and breakfast preparation
  • Occasional other tasks that may be assigned by supervisor or manager
  • Preferable 6 months night audit experience
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Preferable experience with Visual Matrix or Autodesk
  • Potential for more hours due to occupancy and staff holidays.
Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service skills, phone etiquette and listening abilities.
  • Flexibility to work varying and extended shifts as well as on weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
  • Attention to detail to ensure an error-free work environment.
  • Effective organization and time-management skills to prioritize and complete tasks on time.
  • Dealing with guest complaints effectively in solving guests needs.
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment, some heavy lifting with standing and bending at times.
  • Able to speak other languages is preferable but not needed. English is a must.
  • Six months as a night auditor is preferable.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
  • Must be able to work midnight, morning and afternoon shifts as well as weekends and holidays.
