Job Description

Employer OverviewTotal Oilfield Rentals (TOR) offers rental and transportation of drilling, completion, water management and production equipment to the oil and natural gas industry throughout Western Canada and the Northwestern United States. Our mission is to exceed customer expectations by supplying superior rental equipment, transportation services and product support.Position SummaryReporting to the Rentals Maintenance Manager, the Inventory Coordinator, will be responsible for several routine functions at the designated TOR branch location including cycle counts, purchased materials ordering, and production planning.This position is fulltime and is based out of our Leduc location.Time CommitmentMonday through Friday. You may be required from time to time to work outside these hours as the need arises. Schedule may be altered at the discretion of management.*Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following): *

  • Available for travel at least 1 week per month to branch locations
  • Performing complete inventory checks of all rental assets on a regular basis
  • Ensuring all documentation related to inventory flows is complete, accurate and filed correctly.
  • Identifying, analyzing and addressing gaps in inventory processes and creating appropriate procedures
  • Works with the management team to provide accurate and real time asset inventories.
  • Manages internally produced item inventory ordering, cycle counts, and inventory corrections
  • Exhibits customer service focus with an emphasis on quality and timeliness.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
Required Competencies
  • College coursework completed or equivalent work experience as an inventory coordinator and/or materials purchaser, preferably in the trucking equipment rental industry.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience required, maintaining inventories
  • Proven process improvement efforts and results achieved
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational planning skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook E-mail, Word, and Excel
  • Displays accountability, dedication and enthusiasm to manage branch inventories
