JOB SUMMARY OR PURPOSE STATEMENT: We are seeking a Project Document Controller for the administration, procedural and systems management of quality documentation for a large fiber optic construction project. The position is office based in Nisku, Alberta and will report formally to the Director of Systems and operationally to the Project Quality Lead.KEY (CORE) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Document Control· Organize and classify documentation to support quality checklist submissions and other project quality documentation.· Ensure the proper completion of quality documentation. This includes high level reviews of quality documentation, double checking before and after construction photos and ensuring completeness of quality documentation packages· Serve as the operational Interface between Quality and Project Management in support of client invoicing requirements. Java Systems for processes, procedures, templates and system requirements and implementation and Project Document Control for all aspects of project information management· Identify and escalate quality documentation capture and classification issues to both Project Quality and Java Systems Leads.2. Document Control Processes and Procedures· Support the development, standardization, and operational execution of document control processes and procedures for the project Quality group.· Provide training and support to stakeholders on document control processes, procedures, and systems.3. Maintaining Digital Document Management System· Ensuring that all project documentation submitted to the company document control system by project team members is correctly coded and filed in a timely manner· Ensuring quality of information contained in the company document control system. Which would be that documents are correctly and completely coded with the appropriate meta data, and documents presented are of the most current version for the prevention of document duplication· Identify and report deficiencies and/or problems with the company document management system.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE· Minimum 5 years document control supporting construction projects· Experience with maintaining a digital document management system· College or University Diploma /Degree preferably in Administration, Information Management, or Records Management is preferred· Specific experience with Engineering and Construction document management is an asset· Highly proficient with the Microsoft suite of Office applications, and Adobe PDF.KSA’S (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES, and PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES): · Attention to detail, ability to focus and concentrate for long durations is critical· Excellent communication skills; written and spoken English· Excellent interpersonal and team participation skills.· Solutions oriented, independent problem solver· Ability to work with, and be committed to, the goals and objective of the team and organization as a whole· Ability to work remotely and independently· Demonstrate sound work ethic, ability to multitask, and meet tight deadlines without losings site of prioritiesJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:
