The person that will thrive in this role will be hardworking, have a strong commitment to excellence, be confident yet humble, and have an appreciation for delivering exceptional service.If you’ve already started building your career as an Advisor, but you have a desire to work with a team where going above and beyond is baseline, we want to hear from you.The opportunity:Reporting to the Senior Investment Advisor, the Wealth Advisor will provide a comprehensive range of wealth management services to clients.The Wealth Advisor will play an integral role in business development, client origination, marketing, as well as participate in the investment and financial planning process for clients.Key responsibilities include:
  • Establishing a client base of high-net-worth families and managing their complex financial needs.
  • Delivering a high-end client experience.
  • Leading or working as part of an Investment Advisor team to provide wealth management services to clients.
  • Managing and growing an existing client base through networking, marketing, and sales.
  • Being proactive in identifying opportunities for clients, providing personalized investment and wealth management advice.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with Centers of Influence; collaborating and working closely with client’s other professional Advisors in the spirit of delivering a holistic experience.
  • Proactively maintaining current and in-depth knowledge of all areas of the wealth management process, including financial, investment, education, risk management, retirement, tax, and wealth transfer planning.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant industry experience, ideally in an Advisor capacity.
  • Post-secondary education, preferably with a focus on business and/or commerce.
  • Licensed as RR with IIROC.
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
  • Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH).
  • CFP designation is an asset.
  • Wealth Management Essentials Course (WME)
  • Proven success with building and maintaining a loyal client base, preferably with high-net-worth clients.
  • A deep understanding of wealth management strategies, including estate, tax, and retirement planning fundamentals.
  • In depth knowledge of industry rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and a commitment stay abreast of changes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to proactively organize and manage a high volume of time-sensitive tasks and work.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with excellent attention to detail to ensure financial and regulatory requirements are adhered to at all times.
  • Demonstrated, reliable work ethic with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
  • An ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and work requirements with the ability to navigate fluctuations in work volume to meet client and operational requirements.
  • A customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing extraordinary service to high-net-worth clients.
Conditions of employment:
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Current and maintained registration as an RR, including completion of all courses and experience requirements with IIROC, with the ongoing requirement to fulfill Continuing Education requirements.
  • A background check, satisfactory to the employer, may be required of the successful applicant prior to commencing employment.
