Job Description

Midway Coop is hiring an Assistant C-Store/Operational Support Manager for our CooperativeWho we are:Midway Coop is a local Co-operative with locations in Watson and LeRoy serving members and customers with products and services that help feed and fuel our communities.   • You have a Grade 12 education or higher
  • You have customer service experience including some supervisory and leadership skills
  • You have certification in WHMIS, TDG, OHS, First Aid/CPR, Propane or willing to attain them
  • You are honest and trustworthy, customer service oriented and results driven
  • You are a team leader with strong communication skills
  • You are aligned with a vision for continuous improvement
  • You are acceptable to change
  • You have experience to support departments related to Administration, Petroleum, Ag Supplies, and Crop Inputs and provide cross functioning supports to these departments
What you’ll do:The Assistant C-Store/Operational Support Manager is responsible for assisting in overall operation and performance of the C-Store location in Watson Sask. and assist in other cross functioning operations within the organization when required. This position will report directly to the General Manager
  • Be an active team leader of all operations ensuring C-Store and Gas Bar operations are efficient for all members and customers
  • Provide leadership to all staff, including establishing standard operating procedures, setting goals, performance management, training, and development
  • Assist and oversee safety and asset protection
  • perform all aspects of opening and closing duties
  • You will perform and follow cash handling procedures and policies
  • Ensure all store areas are always clean and presentable
  • You will provide positive customer relations and ensure staff are also providing full service to all customers
  • Assist in brand merchandising, marketing efforts, and scheduling when required
  • Be Flexible for various operating working hours, including weekends when required
  • You will act in a support role for all Petroleum, Farm Services, and Crop Inputs to be transitional to each operation and you will provide back ups to these departments when required
  • You will be lead training and program coordinator for the organization in areas of safety & operations
