Our focus is on personal and professional growth and we value our employees as the center of Horizon North’s success.Job DescriptionWHAT’S THE JOBBased in a world class Horizon North camp facility, the regular shift for this position is a forty (40) hour work week with with part-time, twenty (20) - thirty (30) hours per week, opportunities available. You will be required to have transportation to and from site in Jansen.The General Helper is responsible for assisting in the overall kitchen operations and maintenance as well as cleaning and sanitizing of designated kitchen areas, tools, equipment, pots, and dishes.This position is safety sensitive and requires drug and alcohol testing and a fitness assessment, as a condition of employment.Your work will include:Wash, scrub, clean, and sanitize designated kitchen and dining areasClean kitchen and dining room floors and tablesClean refrigerators, ovens, and other kitchen equipmentWash pots, dishes, glasses, cups, etc., after each meal and as requiredDeep cleaning as requiredRestock and rotate desserts, sandwiches, beverages, and condimentsAssist in loading, unloading, and placing supplies and inventoryEnsure health and safety regulations and quality standards are maintainedFollow Horizon North on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.QualificationsWHO ARE WE LOOKING FORYou have a minimum 6 months’ kitchen or catering experience in Food Service Industry, hospitality environment or remote lodge settingYou are fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skillsYou have at least FoodSafe Level I.
