Our team researches, innovates and creates solutions that deliver healthy results for our customers.Job Purpose and ImpactThe Commodity Logistics Specialist, will assist with supply chain activities required to bring commodity ingredients into contracted warehouses, vendors, to plants or direct to customers. In this role, you will execute on the commodity merchant supply strategy and will complete documentation and systems entry to enable timely and cost effective flow of commodities. Key AccountabilitiesPerform activities that support transportation and logistics solutions on inbound movement of raw commodity ingredients and finished goods from origin to destination.Execute logistics activities that support the execution of the supply chain, such as transportation capacity plans, management of third party warehouses and vendors, container administration and import shipments.Assist with routine schedule preparation, transportation arrangement, stock inventory management and reporting of shipments in accordance with purchase and sales contracts.Execute against the logistics and supply chain strategy, resolve basic issues and provide recommendations to support improved and cost beneficial freight movements.Facilitate shipments against purchase and sales contracts, execute internal and external purchase orders and invoices and perform data entry updates using enterprise resource planning systems, spreadsheets and databases.Execute specialized transportation and logistics activities around material resource plans for the facilities, claims and incidents, customer service and customer orders contracts.Conduct activities to support the development of relationships to assist with order and shipment changes in order to make the best buy or sell decisions to minimize costs and maximize profits and services.Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.Other duties as assigned QualificationsMinimum QualificationsDiploma/Certificate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experienceKnowledge of trucking and logistics scheduleProficient in Microsoft office and ExcelMust be legally entitled to work for Cargill in CanadaPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of how enterprise resource planning systemsKnowledge of manufacturing environments or food safetyWorking knowledge of international commercial termsCommodity logistics knowledgeExperience working on SAPAgriculture backgroundCargill is an equal opportunity employer and committed to providing accommodation to our job applicants with disabilities.Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.Quick Apply
