Job Description

As one of the faces of Baby Laurel & Co, our Retail Customer Service/Product Specialist is the first point of contact with our customers and sets the stage for the kind of experience a customer can expect from us. Our purpose as a company is to help parents find joy in parenting everyday by creating fun and stress free shopping experiences. On our retail team you are at the forefront of creating exceptional experiences for parents.You will spend your time assisting customers with their shopping needs, ringing customers in at the till, fulfilling online orders, assisting with shipping and receiving of stock, learning about products, maintaining store appearance and showing features and benefits of products.What’s Expected of our Team MembersAssociates will be expected to utilize the expertise gained during training to actively aid parents in product decisions and create a positive shopping experience.We love to work with other people who are outwardly positive, mature, responsible and are constantly looking to grow and improve. Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assisting customers with their retail needs in-person, on phone and email.
  • Accurately complete POS transactions for customers (sales, inventory lookups, new customer set up, placing special orders, looking up product details)
  • Assist customers in finding the best product to meet their needs. Includes being able to discuss features and benefits, product comparison, product demos, helping to put gifts together.
  • Accurately receiving store shipments.
  • Keep up with daily stock replenishment
  • Completing daily cleaning checklist to maintain cleanliness of the store & back areas (bathrooms, kitchen area, sales floor, displays, backrooms)
  • Assist with the merchandising.
  • Participating in setting daily/weekly game plans to reach daily goals and complete daily tasks
  • Completing online orders for pickup, delivery and shipping
Additional duties and responsibilities may be added or modified as required throughout the course of your employment.General Skills & Requirements
  • Ability to work on their feet for a 6-8hr shift
  • Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50lbs, physical able to help customers out with their purchases.
  • Comfort and above average skill with computers and software. Including but not limited MAC computers, PCs, Microsoft Office, and email programs. While specific programs will be taught, general computer skills will required and expected.
  • Strong ability to confidently talk to customers, can speak clearly.
Having experience in baby products is not required, however having experience with baby wearing, breastfeeding, car seat safety, a general overall understanding and or experience with baby products will be considered an asset.Hours:Full time position: Open availability between 9:30-5:30pm Tuesday to Saturday 9:30-5pm. 2-3 Saturday shifts per month is required. This is a permanent position for immediate availability.Part-time Position: Available for shifts lasting 4-8 hours each Tuesday to Saturday between 9:30-5:30pm. Part time staff is required to work a minimum of 15-20 hours a week of which Saturdays are required.
