Your Opportunity:The Dialysis Technician II position is located in the Lethbridge Hemodialysis Unit. This position will support the Lethbridge, Fort MacLeod and Blairmore Hemodialysis In-Center Units. The position will also cover the Lethbridge and area Home Hemodialysis patients. The Dialysis Technician II is responsible for all repairs to the hemodialysis machines, central water treatment equipment and portable ROs used for Off-Unit treatments and in the Home Program. The Dialysis Technician II will provide training to the nursing staff as well as technical training to home patients for the water treatment and HD equipment used in the home. The Dialysis Technician II will also be responsible for ordering and maintaining parts replacement inventory. This position will also need to liaise with HHD staff, movers and contractors to arrange equipment installations/removal for home patients. The Dialysis Technician II will be required to complete all documentation for equipment repairs and when working with home patients. The successful candidate will be required to complete orientation in Calgary working with other experienced technicians. This could be up to 6 months in length.Description:As a Dialysis Technician II, you will provide an advanced level of technical knowledge and work. You will maintain and repair all dialysis and related equipment used in the process of hemodialysis. You will requisition parts, supplies and equipment needed to service the dialysis equipment and participate in equipment evaluations and training programs. You will be responsible for some staff and patient education and will be a technical resource for all renal staff.
