Your Opportunity:Reporting to the CRH Site Manager and under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, this position provides technical and clerical functions. Responsibilities Basic duties include data entry, specimen collection, processing and packaging for transport. Correctly identifies and prepares patients prior to collecting samples and obtains patient consent. This includes giving instructions to patients regarding specimen collection including home collections and fasting procedures. Collects blood samples including macro and micro samples, and cross-matches in a variety of settings. Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with patients and other health care providers are required. Good performance and attendance is required. Candidate must possess the ability to work independently as well as in a group setting. A valid class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions, or the commitment to acquire one within 3 months of hire (a graduated driver’s license (GDL) will not be accepted).Preferred Qualifications:Actively promotes and participates in Alberta Precision Laboratories Code of Conduct and Values.
