Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity for a Logistics professional looking for an exiting opportunity with a leading global Specialized Seating CompanyCustomer Service - Professional communications; effective, prompt and courteous communicationsCarrier Relationship - Promote and Establish proactive carrier relationshipEssential Duties and Tasks- Knowledge of LTL and TL operations and able to create multi stop shipments- Cover loads and management of difficult situations- Execute outbound and inbound transportation in a multi-modal environment- Optimization carrier and mode to enhance carrier utilization while maintaining customer requirements for service and on-time deliveries- Develop and coordinate transportation plans for multiple customer- Proactively use negotiation to continuously improve the transportation strategy- Provide timely communications and customer service- Coordinate shipping and receiving staff in multiple warehouses- Establish and maintain effective relationships with shippers and receivers through professional and timely communicationKnowledge and Skills- Experience with Microsoft Tools, including Excel and other MS programs- Geographical Expertise (Geographical understanding of the continental US and Canada- Understanding of mileage as it relates to the passage of time, including transit time difference based on mode- Transportation industry knowledge, including key terminology; Including NMFC, Inco Terms- Customs and Duty knowledge, including HS Codes, USMCA Agreements, Import/Export Customs BrokeragePreferred Skills and Motivation- Team Player: Works well as a member of a group- Goal Orientated: Inspired to perform well by the completion of tasks- Ability to Make an Impact: Driven to perform well and demonstrate the ability to contribute to the success of a project or the organization- Flexibility in establishing and setting task schedules while maintaining personal goalsOther Day to day responsibilities may include, but not be limited to: - Checking and verifying stock levels- Follow-up with carriers- Finalizing order scheduling- Generating and sending reports- FilingExpected Start Date: ImmediatelyReference ID: LogisticsExpected start date: 2022-01-07Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per yearAdditional pay:
