Job Description

Southern Irrigation is actively looking for a Full-Time Lunch Chef for our Lethbridge location. The successful candidate should excel in customer service, have good communication skills, and a positive attitude.Job Title: ChefJob purpose: This position’s primary responsibility is to plan, prepare and cook healthy lunches for the Lethbridge lunch program employeesKey Result Areas

  • Cook quality lunches on time five days per week
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Purchase additional kitchen tools as required
  • Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen area including washing and putting away dishes
  • Plan and purchase meal ingredients for five lunches per week for 20-30 employees
  • Plan ahead and provide weekly menus
  • Cook a healthy lunch five days per week. Menu should be varied and creative, with no recipes repeated in a 1-week span
  • Accommodate dietary restrictions (currently x2 gluten free, others may arise)
  • Approximate 30hrs per week

  • A desire to treat coworkers with integrity, honesty and credibility
  • A strong skill set and experience in food preparation and culinary training, certification is an asset.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to take initiative to identify tasks and do them with minimal supervision
