The Maintenance Worker IV position is a vital role in patient and health care worker safety as it performs essential services to ensure building systems are operating efficiently, machines run smoothly, and the physical condition of buildings and grounds are well kept. In this role, you are the first responder to various departments for after hour, weekend and emergency requests from other departments. We are looking for an experienced troubleshooter who can assess and solve operational problems regarding indoor air quality control, heating, ventilation, and other building control systems. You are accountable for ensuring the facility is safe by conducting inspections, providing maintenance, and making repairs and recommendations. This is an important role for someone with considerable initiative and judgment who can provide leadership and support to others within the maintenance team. You will utilize your supervisory and/or maintenance skills and experience to perform preventative maintenance and repair duties on specialized equipment and building control systems, and to provide leadership and direction to other maintenance staff in order to meet operational requirements. In addition, you will perform specialized machine repairs, as well as the maintenance and monitoring of systems and equipment. You may be responsible to resolve escalated operational issues; act as a delegate for the Manager on operational issues; participate in the recruitment and selection of new staff; assisting the design and implementation of preventative maintenance programs; estimate project costs; and liaise with outside agencies and contractors.
