Your Opportunity:This is a unique opportunity to join the Allied Health Leadership team in the South Zone. Reporting to the Allied Health Director, this Allied Health Manager is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, leadership, management, and organization of primarily the activities of the Social Work services encompassing regional and rural health centers of the South Zone in support of the mission and strategic direction of Alberta Health Services. Within this, the position is responsible and accountable for making key decisions and having direct leadership, contributing to the achievement of the goals of the South Zone ensuring efficient and effective delivery of Social Work services in a patient/client focused manner.Description:The Allied Health Manager provides direct support and expert counsel to the Allied Health Director on all aspects of Social Work service delivery within the South Zone. This Manager will have practical experience in strategy, policy development, leadership, and project / program management. They will demonstrate knowledge and application of business planning, fiscal management, modeling concepts, and program / project management theory, principles, and practices. The Allied Health Manager will have proven ability to think strategically, have strong communication skills, a client focused orientation, and commitment to providing quality clinical services ensuring accountability measures are collected and outcomes of services and processes are measured while managing change and creating innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. This position will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to provide leadership to the Social Work program including South Zone Allied Health Leadership team, the South Zone Leadership Team, the AHS Leadership Team, partner organizations, provincial AHPPE team and other key stakeholders.
