This role provides guidance and support to crop Quality Managers in the regions, ensures that all requirements are implemented, ensures global requirements are fit for all crops in the regions, and reports applicable information and KPIs/PPIs to management.Formula for Success: You Will…

    Manage the following key processes for the responsible regions: QM planning, including audits; quality and critical control point methods, testing requirements, and sampling strategies; setting seed standards for crops, phases, and seed types; customer complaint and feedback; third party supplier evaluation; document and record control; quality training; corrective, preventive, and improvement processes; risk assessment; management of change; and regional quality management review.
    Lead a high performing team of Quality Management professionals to ensure the implementation of Quality Management for all seeds sites in North America and Australia, in alignment with the global Quality Management System objectives, processes, methods and templates to streamline and improve the efficiency of quality related processes.
    Collaborate with cross functional teams to assign resources, manage objectives and document, audit and improve processes necessary to support the Quality Management System.
    Monitor and advise leadership on the performance of the Quality Management System, including producing data and reporting on performance and compliance, KPIs, and measuring against set standards (data includes cost of quality, performance against seed standards, improvements, efficiency and effectiveness).
    Participate on the Global Seeds Quality Leadership Team to ensure the regions are aligned with the global BASF Seeds Quality Management System strategy and to establish and adopt global Seeds quality initiatives and objectives; the Global AP Quality Management Team to ensure BASF Seeds Quality procedures are aligned with BASF AP procedures; and the NA Seeds Supply Leadership Team to ensure that the QMS System is suitable for NA requirements.
QualificationsIngredients for Success: What We Look for in You…Education
    B.Sc (specialization in quality management or agriculture or other relative discipline with be ideal.
Experience
    5-10 years of Quality Management, Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control experience in agriculture, preferably within Seeds.
    5-10 years of seed industry experience, preferably with seed production.
Knowledge/Skills
    In depth knowledge of seeds business.
    People management skills.
    Auditing experience.
    Effective communicator.
    Detail-oriented.
    Strong networking capabilities.
    Flexible and able to reduce complexity.
    Solution and stakeholder oriented.
