Job Description

Are you ready to be part of a dependable teamYou are a self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset, with knowledge of logistics, shipping and receiving, materials planning, inventory control, SAP and proven ability to navigate large networks. As a member of our Lethbridge Logistics team you will also be required to work directly with our engine assembly and contractor teams.Job Summary:Reporting to the Supervisor, this position supports the safe delivery of the highest quality engines, on time to our customers, by delivering the required results in all areas of logistics, EHS and other related support areas. This position drives results to our business commitments, continuous improvement, and adherence to all corporate programs.Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure on time delivery of production & development hardware to specified requirements;
  • Responsible for all shipping and receiving, dispatch, bulk & directly supporting FSL activities;
  • Responsible for planning and managing inventory within mandated areas;
  • Management of all non-product goods including general supplies and ordering of product using procurement and purchasing IT systems;
  • Coordination of external P&WC customers and communication with marketing, external carriers, contractors, and associated (DHL) representatives;
  • Planning and allocation of resources including vacation coverage, overtime support to production and on call requirements if business needs require
  • EH&S audits, inspections, FOD management, accident investigations and action closure;
  • Support team in CORE activities and application of tools. Initiate robust, action-driven DIVE’s or correction action clinics regarding any logistics matters;
  • Incorporate Lean Transformation concepts in our key processes and strive to continually improve and adapt our logistics systems;
  • Appropriate and timely communication of information in contact/staff /high management meetings;
  • Drive to meet customer requirements while maintaining highest quality of work and attention to detail with data collection and reporting;
  • Adhere to all quality, legal, EH&S rules and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, practice Active Caring by identifying and solving EH&S issues.
Key Job Competencies:
  • Able to support all EH&S, ACE, Ethics, and Corporate programs and initiatives by working with people across our facilities to ensure programs are effectively applied (as required).
  • Knowledge of basic use of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word, OneNote, Sharepoint and PowerBi
  • Able to maintain flexibility to meet changing priorities.
Qualifications:This multi-faceted role calls for a candidate that brings the proven ability to work in a variety of logistics functions who is confident in being flexible. The ideal background is to be accustomed in logistics processes such as material handling, part allocation, shipping and receiving, inventory control and forklift experience. We are looking for a candidate who has:
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • A dynamic ability to learn quickly and work in multiple areas in our logistics functions
  • A demonstrated positive attitude, a pattern of personal and professional conscientiousness and courage
  • A demonstrated pattern of reliability and dependability
  • The ability to read and write English is required.
  • The ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, to support production requirements and assist in any overtime support when needed.
  • Strong aptitude; two year post-secondary education in the field of logistics is preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift/ carry up to 25 pounds
  • A strong ability to bend, reach, push, pull, use hand tools
  • Strong experience and aptitude to computer systems such as Microsoft Office, SAP and government processes like Transport of Dangerous Goods.
