DescriptionThe Process Operator performs a variety of tasks in and around the plant but is primarily involved in unloading raw material and loading finished product, and complying with all safety, quality, and environmental requirements. This position reports to a Control Room Operator and also works closely with other production, maintenance and laboratory personnel in the plant to solve production problems in a timely manner. Shift assignment may vary as required to maintain plant operations.ResponsibilitiesThe Process Operator has the following responsibilities:· Unload raw material and load finished product to achieve production and maintenance priorities, plans and schedules· Follow a preventative maintenance schedule, and provide timely input on maintenance needs for critical parts, etc.· Participate in emergency response and shutdown activities· Ensure use of safety equipment and follow all safety and environmental SOPs, protocols and plans· Participate in coordination of on-site traffic flow and logistics and support continuous testing program· Follow company production related policies and standard operating procedures, including assisting with the completion of hazard assessments· Monitor key tank and plant parameters, and maintain housekeeping, as required· Participate in daily Toolbox meetings on plant schedule, goals and objectives· Maintain shipping and receiving records, and traceability system· Support research and development activities, as required· Participate in team building, training, coaching and mentoring, as required· Participate in and contribute to quality and continuous improvement initiatives· Use electronic communication tools, and communicate with Shift Supervisor in a timely manner on issues, as required· Submit accurate timesheets and respond positively to corrective performance management feedback· Positively represent Canary Biofuels Inc. in the community· Other duties as may be assigned to maintain safety, quality and/or environmental sustainability in Canary Biofuels Inc.’s plant operationsQualifications – Required· 3 to 5 years experience in a general production facility, including shipping and receiving, inventory control systems, and operating fork lifts and pallet jacks· 3 to 5 years of safety program experience, including industrial first aid training· Excellent oral and written communications and time management skillsQualifications – Desired· Experience in a petrochemical plant· Experience following a BQ9000 or ISO9000 or COR program· Experience in a production environment with a continuous improvement or quality management programEducation/Certifications· High school degree or equivalent· Valid Alberta drivers licenseEducation/Certifications - Desired· Vocational, technical or college training would be a plusApplicants will be required to pass pre-employment testing and must be qualified to work in Canada.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:
