Job Title RNA Innovation Coordinator (Administrative Program Assistant I - Casual)Position DetailsThe RNA Innovation NSERC CREATE program in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Lethbridge requires the services of a qualified Administrative Program Assistant I/RNA Innovation Program Coordinator. This is a Casual Hourly AUPE position, starting at $30/hour for up to 16 hours per week, beginning as soon as possible, and continuing until approximately October 15, 2024.The RNA Innovation Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of a $1.6M NSERC CREATE program. This unique cross-Canada training program connects graduate and post-doctoral trainees with opportunities to work with leading-edge industrial collaborators. The Program Coordinator is essential for the success of the program and acts as the contact between trainees, industry representatives, NSERC, and the grant co-applicants.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • website maintenance
  • social media marketing
  • program document preparation
  • meeting organization
  • budgeting
  • recruitment of industry partners
  • preparation of service agreements
  • organization of trainee internships
  • organization of biannual networking events
Position QualificationsWhile an advanced degree (MSc) in biochemistry, molecular biology, or similar is preferred, a BSc degree with a science background is required. Experience recruiting and working with industry stakeholders is an advantage.
