  • Applicants must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate, a Leadership Quality Standard Certificate and they will possess or be working towards a Masters Degree in Education.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and support a culture of learning in a school community while emphasizing a collaborative and loving learning environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and support a diverse community of students, staff, and families while deeply committing to creating an anti-racist and anti-oppressive learning community.
  • Demonstrated ability and deep belief in forming positive, reciprocal, and genuine relationships for the purpose of learning.
  • A strong vision, understanding, and strategies to lead inclusive learning environments with an appreciation for multiple worldviews.
  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to promoting and supporting a collaborative Professional Learning culture centered on empowering teacher growth and learning for student success.
  • Knowledge of or interest in learning about and supporting the International Baccalaureate Program and teaching the IB Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course.
  • Commitment to supporting and leading a thriving extra-curricular culture outside of the classroom (athletics and fine arts).
  • Successful teaching experience is necessary.
Conditions of Employment:In order to ensure and maintain a safe and secure working and learning environment, applicants new to Lethbridge School Division who are offered employment must provide:
  • A police information check; including Vulnerable Sector Check from Police Services or an RCMP detachment that does not have any charges or convictions.
  • A satisfactory Intervention Record Check from South Region Alberta Child and Family Services.
  • Proof of photo identification, may be a valid driver’s license, provincial identification card as issued by a licensed government registry office, valid passport or Nexus card. If one cannot be provided, a new card must be obtained and proof of application provided within three days of hire.
  • Documentation of a valid Social Insurance Number in the employee’s legal name. If valid Social Insurance documentation in the current legal name can not be provided, the successful candidate will be required to obtain a new one within three days of hire.
