What You’ll Be DoingDuties and Responsibilities:
  • Filling propane cylinders and loading/unloading for deliveries to customers sites.
  • Ensure propane is secure per company procedure and inspect in transit if necessary.
  • In the summer months, deliver and pick up construction equipment to and from customer jobsites.
  • Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records.
  • Secure customer signature on contract, if not already signed.
  • Inform supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pickups.
  • Inform management of new sales opportunities and job sites.
  • Double check delivered items to make sure customers receive exactly what they ordered.
  • Communicate with the team at the branch if behind schedule so that customers may be contacted.
  • Perform vehicle inspections daily, as well as checking gas, oil and other fluid levels.
  • Provide a high standard of customer service in all interactions with customers.
  • Adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies.
What You’ll Bring to the TeamQualifications and Requirements:
  • Valid class 3 or class 1 driver’s license with air (Q) endorsement and driver’s abstract in good standing. Valid 8 Ton crane and under certification an asset.
  • Familiar with local roads.
  • Previous experience delivering fuel and/or propane is an asset.
  • Very customer-oriented with a professional and courteous attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
  • Willingness to participate in job-specific training (Propane Training Institute courses, TDG courses, etc.).
  • Must be willing to work overtime as required, and to work on an on-call rotation as needed.
  • Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
