DescriptionOur transportation company is seeking a reliable Livestock Driver to join our team. As a Livestock Driver, you will be responsible for driving our trucks and trailers to transport livestock safely and efficiently. You will also be responsible for ensuring the welfare of the animals during transport and for adhering to all industry regulations. The ideal candidate should have experience in driving assorted types of livestock and be able to operate a variety of vehicles and trailers safely.ResponsibilitiesTransporting livestock from farms and ranches to processing facilitiesEnsuring that the animals receive proper care and treatment during transportation, including providing food and water as necessaryPerforming basic maintenance and cleaning of trucks and trailersAdhering to all industry regulations and safety protocolsPlanning and organizing routes to ensure timely delivery of the animalsMaintaining accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, delivery times, and animal healthReporting any issues or incidents to supervisors promptlyRequirementsValid Class 1A commercial driver #39;s licenseClean driving recordAt least 1 years of experience in livestock transportationAt least 1 years experience working with cattle.Knowledge of animal welfare regulations and industry standardsAbility to communicate effectively with customers and team membersPhysical ability to handle and transport livestock safelyWillingness to work flexible hours and travel long distances as needed
